Territory Sales Manager

We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to join our fast growing APJ Sales team.  The role will be located in Australia and handle new business for ANZ focusing on the SME/SMB markets.

The TSM will be responsible for driving net new business within their territory by effectively communicating and demonstrating the value of Talend solutions.  You will be expected to drive pipeline and revenue through prospecting efforts, developing relationships with prospects, support of the Sales Development Rep (SDR), as well as building relationships and developing opportunities with partners.   All of this should lead to a laser focus on closing direct business with clients in the ANZ region.
 
What you will be doing:
Working in a great team environment to help drive the presence of Talend in Australia and New Zealand
Drive targeted lead generation activities
Work with assigned SDR to set strategy and execute on that strategy for creating leads.
Work with partners for Lead Generation, Selling and Implementation
Manage and close sales cycle from start to finish
Manage pipeline and forecasts in salesforce.com and submit forecast weekly to management, ensuring to maintain forecast accuracy monthly
Present and assist at external marketing events
Achieve or exceed quota and accurately forecast quarterly
 
What you bring to the role
Excellent communication skills
Strong knowledge about BIG “DATA” technology
Strong understanding of cloud technology
Understanding customers’ business problems
Presentation skills
Understanding of data integration value propositions and how to position them
Experience in direct sales
Experience in indirect selling through partners
Experience in generation of structured proposals
 
What you’ve done in your past
Significant experience in selling licensed software products to enterprise.
Familiarity of Software as a Service model.
Strong record of achieving revenue quota of at least $500K - $1 Million
Experience managing complex sales, with CCS (Customer Concentric Selling), in matrixed organization
Knowledge in creating proposals with an understanding of revenue recognition and royalty structures
Experience in working with partners for lead generation to closure of deals
Understanding of value of information to businesses and ability to elaborate
Must have excellent communication, PowerPoint and presentation skills
Must be self-starter and able to work independently within a matrixed organization
5-8 years of experience in Software Sales.
