We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a temporary basis (6 to 8 weeks)! This role will require a deep understanding of data management tools, data migration, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions. You will be responsible for using a variety of data tools and technologies to migrate data and validate its integrity while supporting business needs.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Utilize Dataiku for data preparation, analysis, and workflow automation.
- Deconstruct complex SQL statements to understand data flows and transformation logic.
- Migrate data to IDMC (Informatica Data Management Cloud) ensuring quality and validation.
- Use Snowflake to extract data and convert it into formats compatible with IDMC.
- Work closely with the business team to validate data accuracy and ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Provide support for 1-2 products, such as VSM and Flash, ensuring data-related needs are met.
Key Skills:
Technologies Needed:
- Dataiku: Experience with this data science and machine learning platform.
- IDMC (Informatica Data Management Cloud): Expertise in data integration, data management, and quality assurance.
- SQL: Strong knowledge of SQL statements and their flow within IDMC, focusing on quality and validation.
- Python: Basic experience required; you will collaborate with a team that includes Python experts.
Preferred Experiences:
- Snowflake: Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing solutions and its integration with other tools.
- Informatica: Familiarity with Informatica tools for ETL processes and data integration.
- Tableau: Experience with data visualization tools; support available from a dedicated team of Tableau resources.
Soft Skills:
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to deconstruct complex SQL queries and assess data quality for migration processes.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working in agile development environments, promoting teamwork and continuous learning.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to new data tools and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- 5-10+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or a similar role.
