Head of Analytics & Insights

New York, NY
Corporate & Technology – Operations /
Full-time /
Hybrid
We are seeking a rockstar business intelligence leader to stand up and develop our newly formed Clinical Analytics and Insights team. You and your team will have the potential to transform the way we think about the company’s strategy, how we serve our clinicians and patients, how we drive growth and control costs, and ultimately how we provide the highest quality care for our patients.

In this role, you will use our existing data infrastructure and established data warehouse to develop business intelligence for our Operators and Clinical leaders in the marketplace. Those marketplace leaders will depend on you to upgrade our operational performance reporting, launch the next iteration of our clinician balanced scorecards, and spin up tools and ad hoc analyses to help everyone work at the top of their potential. In addition, our Clinical Quality leaders will seek your advice on policy setting and prioritization and our Product leaders will leverage the work of you and your team to prioritize their work and map out selection and timing of workflow automation priorities.

About Talkiatry:
Talkiatry’s mission is to transform psychiatry with accessible, human, and responsible care.
We’re a national mental health practice co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist to solve the problems both groups face in accessing and providing the highest quality treatment.

60% of adults in the U.S. with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated every year because care is inaccessible, while 45% of clinicians are out of network with insurers because reimbursement rates are low and paperwork is unduly burdensome.  With innovative technology and a human-centered philosophy, we provide patients with the care they need—and allow psychiatrists to focus on why they got into medicine.

You will:

    • Create insights into our business and develop tangible recommendations and hypotheses how we can improve across growth, costs, quality, and patients and clinician experience
    • Work with Operational and Clinical leaders (dyad leadership model) as well as Data and Strategic Finance to bridge the gap in data capabilities today, including finalizing the design of the next iteration of our clinician scorecards
    • Collaborate with our Informatics, Engineering, and Data Product team to flow data into and out of our enterprise data warehouse
    • Leverage the existing data infrastructure to build out dashboards, individual clinician scorecards, and develop new metrics
    • Serve as a strategic advisor as our market leaders use these metrics to make real-time decisions and monitor and measure the impact of those decisions
    • Grow the team 2-3 months after joining to add an analyst and/or a manager as an extension of the work you are doing

You have:

    • 8-10 years of experience in creating business insights and intelligence, by developing solutions using advanced data visualization tools and languages, including R, SAS, SQL, Python, Excel, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or PowerBI but also your business acumen
    • Expertise in transforming large datasets into insights, folding in business context even when it’s unfamiliar to you at first
    • Exceptional presentation and communication skills to convey the usefulness of insights, reports and analysis to internal and external stakeholders who are unfamiliar with data and analytics
    • Understanding of industry trends in emerging technology and analytics
    • Preferred experience in healthcare data, including clinical quality measures
    • Ability to work at least 2 days a week in our NYC office
