Spanish Content Lead (Localization)

We’re hiring a bilingual content lead to help manage the launch and operations for Tapas en Español. Join this small but nimble team on the ground floor, expanding our webcomics content into Latin American Spanish. The role will oversee the production pipelines for localized titles and other Spanish-language operations and project coordination, such as assisting with freelancer and vendor management. We're looking for a big webcomics fan who understands both storytelling and process management.


    • Manage the Spanish language publishing slate, including assignments to vendors and freelancers across multiple time zones
    • Own the full content lifecycle of our Spanish production pipeline from initial file delivery, translation, QC edits, and typesetting (desktop publishing), to pre-launch checks, ongoing updates, and season/series finales
    • Ensure all series are delivered on time, within budget, and error-free
    • Identify workflow bottlenecks and develop solutions to minimize blockers 
    • Collaborate with Content Ops, Marketing, and other stakeholders to execute promotional opportunities for Spanish content


    • 3+ years content management or project management at a digital media/publishing company, ideally working with narrative storytelling
    • Written and spoken fluency in both English and Latin American Spanish with an excellent grasp on the cultural nuances of both languages
    • Strong communication skills to represent your team/department in cross-team meetings and articulate project statuses with confidence
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and remain focused on improving speed and efficiency for all components involved
    • Proficiency in Basecamp, Monday or similar PM software + Dropbox, CMS, Excel/Google sheets formulas, Slack
    • Professional background or personal passion for webcomics, manga, manhwa, (or storytelling in general) is a big plus
