Project Overview:
The Translation Associate will collaborate with Tapas Entertainment on various Localization projects, translating and ensuring the quality of Korean and Chinese webcomics and novels for digital distribution.
Deliverables
- Translate, review, and edit assigned series, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain namelists for assigned series to ensure consistency.
- Assess translation quality and provide detailed reports to the Narrative Arts Lead.
- Act as a subject matter expert for English localization, ensuring alignment with project standards.
- Perform additional translation-related tasks as assigned by the Narrative Arts Lead.
Project Qualifications:
- Proficient in Korean and English at a professional level.
- Minimum 3 years of translation experience, with a focus on fiction preferred.
- Familiarity with CAT tools, such as Phrase, is advantageous.
- Collaborative mindset with flexibility to adapt to project needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Passion for storytelling and respect for the creator’s work.
Preferred Project Qualifications:
- Experience with CMS and digital platforms like Slack and GDrive.
- Enthusiasm for webcomics and engagement with the storytelling community.
