About Tavern Research
Tavern Research is a political tech startup that builds tools and insights to help our customers win elections and make better decisions. We specialize in scaling expert human work, like content generation and survey research. We're a venture-backed, mission driven, fast-moving, mostly technical team focused on supporting winning campaigns. Everything else is on our website. If you still have questions, let us know when you apply!
About You
- You're curious, adaptable and are excited by AI’s real-world impact and taking on hard problems. You thrive in high-stakes environments, learning on the fly, and delivering under pressure. Skills matter more than credentials (we don’t care if you dropped out of school), and political experience is a plus but not required. If our mission at Tavern Research resonates with you, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t check every box!
About the Role
- As an Engineer on our team, you’ll help build both internal and external-facing tools that support message and creative generation, strengthen our media monitoring and survey capabilities, and synthesize our institutional knowledge into strategic insights for clients. We value in-person collaboration and expect employees to work regularly from our Chicago office. If you're excited to build technology at the intersection of data science, politics, and media production, we’d love to hear from you. We’re hiring for multiple roles and reviewing applications on a rolling basis—if the posting is still up, the position is still open.
- Develop and extend the features of our existing products.
- Work closely with other engineers on staff to engage in the development of unit tests, code review and tool stability.
