What is Teamshares?

Teamshares is a mission-driven startup that buys small businesses from retiring owners and transitions them into enduring, employee-owned businesses through our software, education, and community products. There wasn't an easy way for small businesses—which make up 98% of firms in the US economy—to become employee-owned before Teamshares!

As our company and its internal IT needs continue to grow, we are looking for a senior, self-starter IT owner for our current IT operations and be a dependable, essential partner as we plan for our future too.

What you’ll do

    • Own and manage IT operations for Teamshares Inc
    • Maintain configurations and access control for essential business software (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, 1Password)
    • Execute and scale IT tasks for employee onboarding and offboarding
    • Administer work device management and inventory for a fully remote organization
    • Run IT help desk support
    • Support a sustainable IT practice through process and documentation
    • Collaborate with our security partners, business operations, and Tech Org to shape Teamshares' IT best practices for sustainable, compliant growth
    • Develop a long term IT strategy for Teamshares Inc and its network companies, including a potential shared IT service for small businesses

Who you are

    • Previous roles leading and supporting IT operations in a fully remote and lean startup environment
    • Past experience in managing and operating: MDM for both Windows and Apple devices, Google Workspace, Slack, 1Password, an internal SSO solution, and other common IT systems used by fully remote startups
    • Transitioned an organization from an external MSP to an internal IT team before
    • Familiarity with IT concerns of compliance frameworks (e.g. SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX)
    • Strong sense of accountability, dependability, and initiative—capable of identifying the appropriate problem scope and owning the solution from start to finish
    • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
