About the role
Teamshares is looking for a manager to lead our data science and analytics efforts. This person will have a critical role in how we leverage our data to improve our business and be a leader in the tech org at Teamshares.
What you’ll do
- Be an advocate for how data can give Teamshares a competitive advantage by forming a vision for how we can use data science methodologies to improve our business
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and peers in the Data Science & Analytics function more broadly, fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and collaboration
- Lead the team to design and optimize data pipelines, ensuring data quality and accessibility, and preparing the foundation for advanced data analytics
- Build predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques used for classification and regression. Assess model performance and communicate with stakeholders
- Foster a data driven culture by proactively elevating metrics reporting and understanding
- Guide development of new and more sophisticated applications of data
- Collaborate with partners in product and finance to translate business needs into suitable technical solutions with the appropriate level of detail
- Derive insights from data to improve our understanding of our network companies, their journey, and the effectiveness of our tactics to improve financial performance
Who you are
- 2+ years experience as a people manager
- Strong experience in developing and implementing an analytic vision to solve business-relevant problems, as well as motivating and leading teams to successful implementation.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Prior experience in delivering impact using statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners as well as senior leadership
- Effective storytelling ability with experience leading business conversations with senior leadership.
- Experience at a high-growth company that has undertaken an IPO.
