The AV Events Coordinator will be the dedicated technical expert for all audio-visual aspects of TeamWorking's event center and content production. This role requires an agile and proactive individual who can seamlessly manage event AV setup and live troubleshooting, establish and maintain our in-house podcast studio, and strategically anticipate future AV needs to keep TechNexus at the forefront of presentation and content capabilities. Operating entirely with in-house resources, this role is crucial for delivering polished, professional, and impactful experiences for our team, partners, and the broader venture community.

The ideal candidate is open to learning new systems and processes, including onboarding, digital signage, Google tenant familiarity, and handling help desk responsibilities, as well as providing real-time event support and stellar customer service.

Event AV Setup & Live Support:

    • Hands-on setup, operation, and breakdown of all in-house AV equipment for a wide range of events, including microphones, sound systems, projectors, displays, presentation tools, and lighting. 
    • Conduct thorough pre-event checks to ensure flawless operation and proactively identify potential issues. 
    • Provide immediate and expert live technical support during events, quickly diagnosing and resolving any AV challenges with minimal disruption, demonstrating agility and quick pivoting in high-pressure situations. 
    • Manage and operate live streaming platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, YouTube Live) for hybrid or virtual events, ensuring high-quality audio and video transmission.
    • Main event a/v point of contact for after hours events (allow for scheduling flexibility)Supporting Events Coordinator on room setups / breakdowns.
    • Support Executive Admin on facility printer troubleshooting / maintenance

Technical Planning & Strategic Foresight:

    • Collaborate closely with the Teamworking and Communication teams during event planning to understand AV requirements and develop comprehensive technical plans. 
    • Conduct technical assessments of event spaces (internal) to ensure optimal AV setup and identify any necessary adjustments. 
    • Proactively research and recommend new AV technologies, equipment upgrades, and best practices to enhance our capabilities and future-proof our event and content production. 
    • Assist presenters and speakers with their technical needs, including presentation setup and microphone usage.

In-House Equipment Management:

    • Maintain a precise inventory of all TechNexus's in-house AV and podcast studio equipment. 
    • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and necessary repairs on all equipment to ensure longevity and peak performance. 
    • Manage the proper storage, transportation, and setup/breakdown of AV equipment. 
    • Identify and articulate future equipment needs, contributing to procurement decisions to ensure TechNexus always has the right tools.

Requirements:

    • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in AV setup, operation, and technical support in a corporate, events, or production environment. 
    • Proven experience with live event production, including audio mixing, video switching, and presentation management (we utilize Q-SYS onsite). 
    • Familiarity with virtual and hybrid event platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, OBS Studio, StreamYard).
    • Expert-level understanding of audio principles (microphones, mixers, sound reinforcement) and video systems (projectors, displays, cameras). 
    • Proficiency with presentation software (PowerPoint, HubSpot, Asana, Google Slides, Keynote). 
    • Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues quickly and independently under pressure.
    • Exceptional agility and adaptability: ability to pivot quickly, solve problems on the fly, and remain calm and effective in dynamic event environments. 
    • Proactive and forward-thinking: keen interest in emerging AV technologies and a knack for anticipating future needs. 
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership. 
    • Demonstrated experience setting up and operating podcasts or recording studios, including familiarity with audio recording and editing workflows.
    • Familiarity with audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, GarageBand) for basic podcast post-production, a plus.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams. 
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required by event schedules.
$20 - $25 an hour
