TechNexus MBA Sourcing Sprint Xperience 

Looking to gain some real time experience in Venture Capital? We’re looking for MBA students to participate in our new Sourcing Sprint Xperience.  This is a great way to gain exposure to our team, while brushing up on your sourcing skills.  

The TechNexus team will provide appropriate background materials on the corporation, including items such as recent company board decks and TN deliverables around JV investment thesis. The Sourcing execution will encompass building a database with key elements such as Company background information, contact information, Total Capital Raised ($MM), Last Financing Size ($MM), Last Financing Valuation ($MM), Last Financing Date, Industry / End Market, and Investment Thesis Category. Past sourcing sprints have covered topics such as 5G, purpose built e-mobility, biosensors, outdoor recreation, creator economy, sustainable fuel, and electrification, to name a few.

We accepting applications all year. You can choose between the following Xperience Cohorts based on your school schedule:

Fall Xperience: September - November (3 months)
Spring Xperience: February - May (3 months)
Summer Xperience: June - July (mini sprint for 1 month)

About the program:

    • Project Scope: The Sourcing Sprint Xperience is a self-guided program. The work is remote and flexible in nature, with the expectation that you conduct one sourcing sprint a month, totaling three sprints during the Xperience. 
    • Goal: Intern should aim to source 100+ companies that are relevant to the investment thesis
    • Experience Gained: Exposure to our TN team, with opportunity to participate in further sourcing sprints. TN team will review the sourced companies as the intern works, providing prioritization rankings of “High, Medium, or Low” to the ventures and commentary where applicableIn weekly or biweekly meetings, the TN team and interns will discuss any areas of feedback or investment themes that have been difficult to source related companies.

Requirements:

    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited MBA (part time or full time) program.
    • Must have US work authorization
    • The time requirement is ~5 hours a week ($25/hour), and payment will be a lump sum stipend of $1,000 (Summer Fellows) and $1,500 (Fall/Spring Fellows)
    • We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023, and will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis.
