The Venture Manager will be part of team building venture ecosystems for our corporate partners.  The ideal candidate has worked at a venture capital fund and has first hand experience with investment diligence and deal execution.

Responsibilities:

    • Evaluating ventures for potential investment through research and due diligence with executive teams. Creating and reviewing deal memos and reports through keen synthesis of information on a multitude of ventures. 
    • Executing the investment process including creation of financial and valuation models to evaluate the impact of ventures on enterprise strategies, as well as review legal documents and term sheets. 
    • Manage sourcing process through analysts, associates, and venture fellows and qualify/review sourcing sprints.
    • Conducting sourcing screens independently, supporting senior members of the investment team to source ventures, and running preliminary evaluation of sourced ventures. 
    • Developing market research on the potential products and services of incumbent corporations, analyzing markets, business models and collaboration potential of ventures.
    • Supporting strategy projects for investment theses including defining project objectives, developing and delivering work plans, structuring analyses, and executing project deliverables. Defining and comparing the business models of key competitors (to both corporations and ventures) and evaluating emerging technology innovation.
    • Creating, managing, and reviewing internal reporting documents related to venture operations, including sourcing pipeline, due diligence process, and portfolio company reporting / valuation, and co-investor engagement.
    • Presenting internal KPIs to senior leadership related to specific investment responsibilities.
    • Identifying opportunities to support portfolio companies, and develop relationships with prospective co-investors and ecosystem partners in the industry.
    • Strengthen the firms’ network through making connections in entrepreneurship and VC community, attending events, etc.

Requirements:

    • 3- 4 years of in venture capital, private equity, or investment management
    • Innovation and/or entrepreneurial experience and interest
    • Proficiency in strategic analysis and financial analysis.
    • Experience communicating (written & oral) and interfacing with senior level external stakeholders and executives
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
