At Tecton, we solve the complex data problem in production machine learning. Tecton’s feature platform makes it simple to activate data for smarter models and predictions. Tecton abstracts away the complex engineering to speed up innovation.

Tecton’s founders developed the first Feature Store when they created Uber’s Michelangelo ML platform, and we’re now bringing those same capabilities to every organization in the world.

Tecton is funded by Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Kleiner Perkins, along with strategic investments from Snowflake and Databricks. We have a fast-growing team that’s distributed around the world, with offices in San Francisco and New York City. Our team has years of experience building and operating business-critical machine learning systems at leading tech companies like Uber, Google, Meta, Airbnb, Lyft, and Twitter.

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving interest to Tecton with ML engineering teams. You will be responsible for crafting compelling messaging and positioning strategies, developing impactful content, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive awareness, pipeline conversion, and revenue growth. Your deep understanding of our target audience and their pain points, coupled with your expertise in translating technical features into compelling value propositions, will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

    • Create differentiated positioning strategies to effectively position our products against competitors in the market.
    • Collaborate with product management and sales teams to ensure alignment on messaging and positioning strategies.
    • Develop high-quality content, including case studies, blog posts, technical articles, advertisements, emails, technical social posts, and presentations, tailored to the needs and interests of engineering managers.
    • Work closely with subject matter experts to distill complex technical concepts into clear, compelling content that educates and engages our target audience.
    • Manage the content calendar and ensure timely delivery of content assets to support product launches, campaigns, and ongoing marketing initiatives.
    • Partner with product management to define go-to-market strategies for new product launches and major feature releases.
    • Develop comprehensive launch plans, including messaging, positioning, sales enablement materials, and marketing collateral, to drive successful product introductions.
    • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to continuously refine go-to-market strategies and tactics.
    • Equip the sales team with the necessary tools and resources to effectively communicate the value proposition of our products to engineering managers.
    • Develop sales enablement materials, such as pitch decks, battle cards, and training sessions, to support sales efforts and drive revenue growth.
    • Collaborate with sales leadership to ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and sales priorities.
    • Conduct market research to gain insights into customer needs, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
    • Synthesize market intelligence into actionable recommendations to inform product roadmap decisions, marketing strategies, and sales tactics.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on the competitive landscape, providing insights and guidance to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
    • Proven experience (5+ years) in product marketing, preferably in the B2B technology sector, with a focus on highly technical products.
    • Deep understanding of engineering audiences, their pain points, and buying behavior.
    • Strong storytelling and messaging skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear and compelling narratives.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
    • Experience in content creation, including writing and editing technical content such as whitepapers, case studies, and blog posts.
    • Self-starter with a growth mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
