As an Associate, Research Operations, you’ll play an integral role in operationalizing our Global Equity Research team. You will contribute your foundational knowledge in capital markets and/or deep subject matter expertise to help grow, develop, and maintain our 4,000+ public equity model library and the tools supporting them, while conducting intensive analysis to produce actionable insights. Our ideal candidate will possess a broad interest in subjects covering finance, data analytics, and/or technology.

Responsibilities

    • Assist with the production of weekly earnings schedule reports for the research team.
    • Produce and maintain reports to be used within predictive models to drive the prioritization of the research teams’ updates.
    • Manage and evaluate data to improve business operations and test solutions where applicable.
    • Produce and maintain templates used for tracking internal KPIs.
    • Perform analysis to identify gaps in coverage and inform prioritization of coverage expansion.
    • Monitor, summarize, and communicate important public company and exchange information within the research team’s coverage universe.
    • Conduct analysis of existing processes and documentation and improve where applicable.
    • Advise Equity Research team to changes in coverage due to delisting, acquisition, etc., and facilitate the change.
    • Support and maintain user management across various tools used by the Research team.
    • Provide support and training on processes within the department.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.
    • Knowledge of financial statements and models.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
    • Strong communication skills and highly team oriented.
    • Ability to learn quickly and perform under pressure.
    • Strong PC skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
    • Strong Tableau knowledge and skills an asset.
    • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task responsibilities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
