The core responsibility of the Sr Director of Demand Generation at Teleport is to design, build and implement the entire demand generation strategy across all channels. The mission for this role is to scale Teleport ARR from $25MM to $100MM.

What you'll be doing:

    • Build and lead an efficient demand generation machine. Focus on a disciplined, metrics-driven approach to demand generation with robust revenue attribution.
    • Measure what matters: define and maintain core KPIs and dashboards without introducing unreasonable overhead.
    • Lead the Demand Generation team, focusing on performance management, talent development, and employee satisfaction.
    • Ensure that the API between the sales and marketing teams is designed well and operating smoothly.
    • Be a productive member of the extended leadership team at Teleport that lives Teleport Leadership Behaviors such as being a driver, not being afraid of getting hands dirty, communicating with clarity and structure, and interpreting other’s actions with the most positive intent.
    • Be a trusted advisor to the SLT, CEO, and the board on all things related to GTM.

What you'll bring:

    • Experience building and leading demand generation teams in developer tooling, DevOps, or cybersecurity companies within the $40-100MM ARR range.
    • Experience with the GTM motion of enterprise sales on the back of bottom-up PLG motion. Experience with open core software and developer evangelism is a strong plus.
    • Strong understanding of cloud computing trends, technologies, personas, and jargon.
    • Ability to synthesize competitors’ behaviors, market trends, analytics, and customer insights into action plans.
    • Deep experience in content creation, creative marketing and driving integrated, lasting marketing campaigns.
    • Scrappy builder attitude.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create, communicate and direct a team to achieve the company’s vision. Understanding and experience working across the marketing mix, from product to communications.

$213,000 - $277,000 a year
The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is $213,000 - $277,000 for a level 5 or level 6 which consists of a Base Salary. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
