The Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in facilitating efficient coordination activities across multiple Scrum teams within the organization. They are responsible for ensuring seamless communication, collaboration, and alignment between teams to achieve project goals and deliverables within established timelines. By serving as a central point of contact, the Project Coordinator supports the smooth execution of projects, enhances team productivity, and promotes effective project management practices.

Main Responsibilities

    • Team Coordination: Facilitate communication and collaboration among multiple Scrum teams, ensuring clarity of objectives, priorities, and dependencies.
    • Project Planning: Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and resource allocations in alignment with organizational objectives and Agile methodologies.
    • Sprint Planning Support: Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to coordinate sprint planning meetings, backlog grooming sessions, and sprint reviews, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
    • Issue Resolution: Identify and address project-related issues, risks, and impediments in a timely manner, escalating to appropriate stakeholders when necessary.
    • Documentation Management: Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and action items, to provide accurate and up-to-date information for stakeholders.
    • Status Reporting: Generate regular status reports and updates on project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators for management and stakeholders.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership, facilitating effective communication and managing expectations.
    • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to project coordination processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Training and Support: Provide guidance, support, and training to team members on Agile practices, tools, and methodologies as needed.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments or teams as required to support inter-departmental projects and initiatives.

Education and Experience Required

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field.
    • Must have experience in a Telecommunications environment.
    • Proven experience 7 years in project coordination or management, preferably in an Agile environment.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.).
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP) is a plus

Decision Making and Supervision

    • The Project Coordinator is expected to make decisions related to day-to-day project coordination activities, issue resolution, and communication strategies within the scope of their responsibilities. They may seek guidance from project managers or escalate issues to higher management when necessary. The role typically operates under moderate supervision, with periodic review of performance and alignment with organizational objectives.
The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
