This hybrid role merges strategic product ownership with advanced systems architecture responsibilities. The ideal candidate will lead the definition, prioritization, and design of system solutions supporting the Lightspeed constellation, with a particular focus on the control plane and end-to-end system architecture. This includes orchestrating service lifecycle management, telemetry, configuration, and orchestration across distributed platforms. The role ensures that architectural decisions align with business objectives, operational scalability, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Define and manage the product backlog for system operations software platforms.
    • Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable user stories and features.
    • Prioritize development efforts based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
    • Facilitate PI planning, sprint reviews, and roadmap execution within Agile SAFe frameworks.
    • Act as the primary liaison between engineering, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
    • Architect and evolve the control plane for the Lightspeed constellation, enabling dynamic service orchestration, configuration management, telemetry, and lifecycle automation across distributed systems.
    • Define and maintain the end-to-end system architecture for control and management platforms, ensuring modularity, scalability, and operational resilience.
    • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native microservices and infrastructure components using platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud.
    • Ensure architectural alignment with business and operational goals, including fault tolerance, observability, and maintainability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control plane capabilities with data plane services and external interfaces.
    • Provide architectural oversight during PI planning, sprint execution, and release readiness, ensuring technical consistency and strategic alignment.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • 12+ years of experience in software product management and systems architecture.
    • Proven expertise in Agile SAFe, software, and distributed systems.
    • Strong understanding of network management systems and satellite/telecom domains.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience with Jira and Confluence and their APIs would be an asset.
    • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and the Capella toolset and its automation APIs would be an asset
