The all-star fit tech team includes alums from Apple, Google, Netflix, Tesla, Lyft, Orangetheory, Equinox, and TRX, and is backed by $80M in funding from leading investors including Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, DCM, and SignalFire.

We’re looking for a Head of People to help drive the company’s infrastructure on hiring, developing and retaining world-class talent in the US & Egypt to support Tempo’s growth. This role will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the leadership and department managers to help build and support their teams. You will be responsible for all human resources, recruiting, training/development activities, and building a strong culture at Tempo.     • 8-15 years of experience leading a people operations and HR function at an early to growth stage startup
    • Demonstrated ability to scale programs and practices - you helped grow a company from 50 to 200+ people
    • Experience with international HR a big plus
    • Passionate about putting people and culture at the center of the company’s strategy
    • HR certification (i.e. SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plus
    • Superb communication and coaching skills
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with key stakeholders across different departments
    • Ability to challenge the team/organization while holding them accountable for their commitments

What You'll Do:

    • Build and lead a world-class talent management function, including recruiting, onboarding and talent development
    • Partner with team leads and managers to evaluate current team structure and skills, org design, talent gaps and hiring plan to achieve business goals
    • Lead performance review and feedback process to drive a culture of feedback and learning
    • Spearhead building a remote culture from the ground-up at the company
    • Prioritize a diverse and inclusive company culture through recruiting, training, policies, and conversation
    • Drive company culture through activities and programs across the organization
    • Oversee the management and administration of all employee policies and benefits
    • Develop and roll-out a compensation and leveling structure with the CEO and leadership team
    • Drive implementation and adoption of key people analytics to help drive thoughtful, data-driven people decisions
    • Vet, implement and manage recruiting and HR platforms at the company
    • Launch Learning and Development programs that grow individuals skills and capabilities
    • Oversee HR compliance, audits and governance
