We have an opportunity for a seasoned Staff Technical Program Manager to join as the founding member of this function. This is an opportunity to drive critical engineering-centric programs and establish a role model for a strong technical program management function. We have reached a scale point wherein we believe that a strong TPM can unlock efficiency and agility, as well as ensure that all functional organizations are prepared for the initiatives that engineering is delivering against.
The Technical Program Manager will report to SVP Engineering and work closely with engineering and product management to drive a number of critical initiatives.
What You’ll Do
-Own program management at the initiative level working across multiple teams.
-Keep the teams organized around program priorities and delivery cadence.
-Identify and track dependencies (both within engineering and external).
-Identify risks and work towards mitigation plans.
-Proactively keep stakeholders informed.
-Set a foundation for strong technical program management practices to grow the function.
Example projects you’ll work on:
-Launches of key features, for instance at the Replay 2024 Temporal User Conference, we announced Global Namespaces as a key feature in private preview.
What You’ll Bring
-8+ years of experience
-Demonstrated experience running engineering-centric programs in highly technical product company(ies).
-Experience in startups (series B+), high-growth environment.
-Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
-Strong collaboration skills with the right attitude towards holding the overall interest of the initiative/business need above optimizing for a specific team.
Compensation
The estimated pay range for this role is $170,000 to $200,000
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal’s equity plan.
Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets. Employment offers carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, knowledge, expertise, skillset, market location, and job level assessed during the interview process.
