We are hiring across multiple roles and looking for exceptionally smart and mission-driven people to join our growing team.

Role
Help to create and maintain a welcoming online experience for Tenet’s customers. This includes backend work to support mobile- and web-based loan applications, account portals, and electronic communications, with opportunities to contribute to internal facing data workflows, security practices, and DevOps. An ideal candidate will have an interest in electric vehicles and sustainability; thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven, startup environment; and adapt quickly to fill in gaps as we grow.

Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with our leadership team and outside contractors on our initial product launch (“beta”) and upcoming product launch (“MVP”)
    • Take ownership of backend maintenance and feature requests following launch
    • Debug user-facing issues and work with front end engineering, community, and customer support teams to ensure a best in class user experience
    • Contribute to building internal facing tools and backend features to support technical and marketing teams
    • Review existing infrastructure and implement security best practices to guard customer data, follow lender compliance policies, and minimize risk to operations

Requirements

    • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
    • Strong experience in FinTech, payments technology, and/or consumer finance
    • Experienced with building web applications and keep up with the latest developments in the space; you help us be at the cutting edge of the modern webYou take end-to-end ownership of your work and are comfortable making code improvements across the stack when needed
    • You can collaborate with non-engineering stakeholders to unblock yourself and make sure you're satisfying customer and business needs
    • Strong competency in backend development with Typescript & Javascript (Node, Express, Prisma) and with Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic)
    • Strong competency in databases - SQL (Postgres), NoSQL (e.g. Dynamo, Mongo)
    • Strong competency in API Design and Implementation - REST, GraphQL
    • Experience with Version control (git), CI/CD, DevOps
    • Experience with serverless (AWS Lambda)
    • You have a keen sense for subtle details and help us build beautiful products that are a joy to use
    • You put users first and empathize with how they'll use our products; your work reflects this
    • Strong competency in React, Redux
    • You are interested in the intersection of FinTech and Climate Tech
