We are hiring across multiple roles and looking for exceptionally smart and mission-driven people to join our growing team.

Role
You will set up the complete data infrastructure, extract and ensure that the data we are getting back is of high integrity (error free), and help us drive business/product improvements. You will deliver automated reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and support product teams to drive data based feature requests to engineering.  You will be a steward of the data organization and bring in Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) expertise to improve processes and product decisions over time.

Responsibilities

    • Set up data infrastructure i.e., baseline current environment, stakeholder needs, future needs and analytics requirements, security requirements, prioritize deployment plan, and cost vs budget implications
    • Build data pipelines, dashboards/visualization tools, data load, architecture diagram, and automated reporting for metrics needs across the organization
    • Deliver business facing analytics and dashboards to improve decision making i.e. building products customers love
    • Create, maintain, and optimize data pipeline architecture, assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements for customer finance flow (refi and new origination) and customer portal
    • Lay the groundwork ML/AI applications for customer facing data product

Requirements

    • Conduct deep-dive analyses of business problems and formulating conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership
    • Design, develop, and maintain metrics, report, analysis, dashboards (quicksite, looker) to support business needs
    • Experience with data warehousing concepts and coding in at least one modern programming language (Python)
    • Introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) Machine Learning (ML) models
    • Build data architecture that is simple and scalable
    • Experience in Data extraction, ingestion of the data, and processing of large data sets
    • Experience with data mining, including ETL, and using databases in a business environment with multiple datasets
    • Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data-driven activities; build solutions to have maximum scale and self-service ability by stakeholders
    • Write high-quality SQL code to retrieve and analyze data from database tables (ex. MySQL, Redshift, RDS)
    • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
    • Build agile feedback loop mechanisms to do quick deep dives into new initiatives, measure their efficacy, and give recommendations to move closer to desired end state
    • Provide analysis and actionable findings of key metrics or problems. This will require data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem-solving, and communication of insights and recommendations
    • Work with product managers to build data sets and other products that answer their specific business questions
    • Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure including S3, Redshift, DynamoDB and RDSProven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment is strongly preferred
    • Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting
    • Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders that will help shape effective metric development and reporting
    • Interface with technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources
    • Proven ability to look at solutions in unconventional ways, identify opportunities to innovate, and lead the way
    • Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively communicate to both business and technical teams, including defining business requirements and conveying key insights from complex analysis.
