We are looking for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join us as Climate Data Projects Lead. Working closely with our Carbon Data Analysts and Customer Success Managers, this role will ensure that our customers succeed with using Terrascope in their emissions measurement and decarbonisation needs by managing internal resourcing to deliver our evolving Software-as-a-Service solutions.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Team management: Provide guidance to the team on client presentation and storytelling. Coach the team on client interaction. Provide technical guidance on data ingestion, processing, analytics and visualization
- Project management: Proficiency in managing multiple complex data projects using methodologies and tools to effectively plan, execute, and monitor the delivery of Terrascope platform. Helping the team to prioritize within lean resources and timeframe. This includes resource allocation, risk management, and timeline adherence, as well as managing third party contractors where necessary
- Client management: Ability to steer tough client conversations and to drive positive
- Internal coordination: Collaborating with Product on new feature development and testing. Working closely with Engineering on issues resolution. Oversee customer deployments and drive accountability for a smooth handover from sales to implementation to delivery
- Quality assurance: Ensure the quality and reliability of delivered work by ensuring robust testing processes, quality assurance standards, and adherence to standard operating procedures for client delivery; interface with third party auditors and assurance providers as needed
- Value creation: Exploratory work with prospective customers, understanding their business needs, and defining value creation opportunities by reviewing corporate Scope 3 data and climate transition plans
- Partner enablement: Growth through consulting partners for shared delivery models where consulting partners use Terrascope to deliver for corporate customers
- Product-marketing: Collaborate on feature testing and product-marketing fit
- Supporting growth: Advising Business Development teams on bid qualification, demonstrating platform functionality, and responding to technical questions on carbon accounting and sustainability reporting frameworks
- Networking: Support industry partnerships and alliances
- People management: Provide leadership and guidance to client implementation teams, ensuring they have the support needed to deliver projects on time and within constraints
- Performance monitoring and reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery and implementation, providing regular reports and updates to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities for improvement
You should have:
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in data analytics/ business analytics consulting
- Experience managing data analytics teams and providing guidance on their deliverables
- Deep expertise with data ingestion, processing, analytics and visualization
- Well versed in Python, SQL, AWS S3/ Sagemaker and/or other data tooling
- Clear and confident communications skills, steering client calls and engagements with multinational corporate executives in food and agriculture value chains and other industries
- Exceptional project management, organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, with fast turnarounds, and an entrepreneurial mindset
Preferred Knowledge/ Experience:
- Experience in sustainability and climate change is preferred
- Managing hybrid teams across regions
- Knowledge of corporate carbon accounting methodologies, with a strong preference for GHG Protocol and ISO Familiarity with key climate-related regulatory frameworks is desirable
- Prior experience with audit and assurance engagements
