About the role:
Reporting to the General Manager of the West Coast, we’re looking for an Operations Manager to help execute the strategy and grow and improve the Northern California market. 

You will oversee the local market operations including managing operational expenses, order processing, inventory, fulfillment and partner relations using a balance of internal-external resources, technologies and tools. 
The ideal person will have experiences in the trenches of a fast-paced startup and know how to balance process-and-rigor with speed-and-flexibility.

Role and Responsibilities

    • Onboard, manage and support local key partners in their operational needs. This includes chefs, internal delivery drivers, delivery 3PL’s and fulfillment partners. 
    • On-site local fulfillment supervision as needed to ensure smooth operations flow between 3rd party vendors.
    • Understand and oversee production, fulfillment, and delivery cycles with an intense focus on customer delight, quality control, cold chain and food safety.
    • Manage the ordering cycle from order processing to fulfillment, including the post delivery customer experience.
    • Track and manage all weekly operational expenses. Partner with the General Manager and Director of Operations on any financial big risks/wins/changes. Continuously look for efficiencies that will drive expense reduction and margin improvements and drive toward the larger company-wide initiatives and goals.
    • Inventory management of packaging materials, ice and equipment (fridges, temp monitors, etc)
    • Manage the rollout of new operational initiatives that require cross-departmental collaboration.
    • Create customer feedback loops and gather customer insights for product improvement.
    • Provide support for customer service team when needed on product details

Professional Qualifications

    • 5 years of experience in operations and logistics. Ideally for a food or CPG company. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. 
    • Experience building and overseeing operational processes and best practices to drive exceptional customer experience while reducing costs.
    • Ability to analyze data and think strategically about how to solve problems. 
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at a time. 
    • Ability to navigate the gray areas well while making sound decisions with a "roll up your sleeves and make things happen" attitude
    • Ability to train new partners on the operational processes and best practices for the city.
    • Self starter with the ability to work without direct supervision.
    • Ability to adapt to different audiences and communicate well across all levels of the organization.
    • Financial acumen with a basic to intermediate Excel/spreadsheet skills
    • Understanding of G-Suite applications
