What You'll Do

    • Oversee Brand - Storytelling and Narrative Development
    • Build and lead the Marketing Comms team with Marketing, overseeing the strategy and development of integrated brand campaigns and activations that bring in new users and drive brand awareness, relevance, and love
    • Use foundational brand strategy and insight work to guide expansion & go-to-market strategies. - Stay closely attuned to key brand metrics and performance against targets
    • Create concise, easily digestible positioning for the brand and initiatives that drive results of new users into company 
    • Content-creation and story-telling across mediums and channelsManage & support content editor (direct report)Push PR manager (direct report) & agency for strategic coverage & superior results

    • Consumer-centric insights that fuel the business 
    • Identify & activate consumer-centric insights across all parts of the business and consumer journey
    • Create metric-driven view of awareness-generating channels and promote launch & learn mentality 
    • Create ideal and present-state user journeys to identify brand opportunities

    • Drive Top-of-Funnel
    • Develop and activate top-of-funnel customer acquisition plans through owned & earned media channels 
    • Explore new tools and technologies to ensure best-in-class awareness generation 
    • Support with hands-on help on partnerships search and expansion for new cities

    • Campaign Management
    • Help brand manager develop integrated holistic marketing campaigns against multiple touchpoints in order to generate newness 
    • Identify additional mini-campaigns throughout the year that tap into competitive advantage

    • Liaise with Partners
    • Collaborate very closely with Growth Marketing Director on message performance in market, creative assets feedback, and general in-market receptivity 
    • Input into mid-to-lower funnel medi planning process; incorporate Growth into your top-of-funnel process
    • Partner with Culinary & Product teams as needed for chef storytelling, consumer experience on site, and innovations in the physical & digital products
    • Manage team (of 3 and growing) and relevant agencies, freelancers to ensure growth, tracked metrics, and general performance 
    • Continuously develop and train team on strong brand marketing and communication fundamentals

    • Organizational Responsibilities:
    • Inspire and motivate the Brand Management team, promoting a high performance yet fun environment that values speed and quality, creative exploration, innovation, & continuous learning, including: PR manager, Brand Manager, Social Media Manager
    • Effectively manage brand marketing budget in partnership with Finance & team

    • Measurement
    • Define relevant KPIs in alignment with broader marketing & product team
    • Continuously optimize strategy and content against relevant metrics 

Must Haves

    • 8-10 years of relevant experience in brand marketing in relevant industries
    • People management and people development experience
    • Strong visual & verbal presentation skills
    • Proven experience scaling top-of-funnel brand awareness through storytelling
    • Management experience of in-house team or agency
    • Experience managing freelancers
    • Strong writing & communication skills
    • Ability to influence situationally
