The CNE, often affectionately referred to as The Ex, is Canada’s largest community event and one of the top ten agricultural fairs in North America. With something for everyone, our event offers a wide variety of attractions and interactive entertainment experiences including: concerts, midway rides and games, shopping, exhibits, tech and gaming hubs, food and wacky treats!
 
The CNE fair is a cherished tradition, attracting approximately 1.5 million visitors annually over the course of its 18-day run. Be a part of this summer tradition and help us inspire Canadians and create memories.

Responsibilities

    • Facilitate staff rotation schedule, including break coverage, Program Attendant placement, and assigning Program Runners to areas of high demand
    • Provide the Program Assistant with daily debriefs on staff performance, program operations, and potential improvements
    • Lead daily shift meeting with updates from the Program Assistant and other Program Supervisors
    • Ensure staff are engaged with guests and kept on task
    • Ensure staff arrive at stations promptly and take breaks as scheduled
    • Be the point of contact for any issues that may arise in Kids’ World including lost children, guest complaints, equipment damage and malfunctions, and customer assistance.
    • Answer questions and provide info to guests regarding the exhibits, programming, attractions, facilities, and services
    • Document participation and interest of guests at key areas and times throughout the 18-day fair
    • Ensure that program areas are properly maintained, on schedule, and presentable always

Special Conditions

    • Ability to stand or remain in stationary position for extended periods of time
    • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and in all weather conditions (sun, heat, wind, cold, rain)
    • Comfortable with loud noises and crowds
    • Comfortable in instructing, aiding, and facilitating programs such as arts and crafts activities, meet and greets, line management, and other Kids’ World related programs
    • Comfortable supervising, instructing, and aiding children of all ages
    • Required to dress in appropriate uniform

Required Qualifications

    • Minimum Age Requirement: 16 years
    • Available to work flexible hours all 18 days of the fair (August 15 – September 1, 2025), including evenings, weekends, and Labour Day
    • Available to attend mandatory one day of staff orientation and one day of staff training, taking place between August 4 – August 14, 2025. Exact dates to be confirmed
    • Advanced customer service, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and staff management experience required
