We are looking for an experienced campaigns director to help lead large scale issue campaigns at The Hub Project.
Launched in 2016, The Hub Project is made up of a growing team of communications, research, and organizing experts who have extensive experience in campaign strategy, digital, and polling and analytics. We believe in a country where everyone has the opportunity to succeed in our economy and participate in our democracy, and we make that vision a reality by partnering with advocacy groups — bringing surge capacity and coordination to build innovative and effective campaigns.
The Hub Project is seeking a Campaign Director to work closely with a Managing Director on a range of projects. The Campaign Director will manage the day-to-day of issue advocacy campaigns, which will include communications, digital, and research and policy components and will drive both national and local activity on key progressive issues.
This is a significant leadership role at The Hub that will be responsible for strategizing and executing on issue campaigns — managing budgets, a team of people from across the organization, and creating full scale plans for the issue campaigns that are at the core of our work.
As Campaigns Director you’ll…
Develop and write large-scale issue advocacy campaign plans and design budgets to accomplish the goals of the campaign.
Lead a strategic team of communications, research, and digital staff on campaigns on progressive economic issues.
Work closely with, and develop relationships with new campaign partners to build robust, multi-faceted campaigns.
Oversee rapid-response efforts as necessary.
Work with the team to report on program progress and success.
Find, hire, and manage program consultants and grantees.

You have a bachelor’s degree and significant relevant work experience on issue or candidate campaign management.
You have experience with, and are comfortable with managing consultants and staff. You have a talent for working with coalition partners and building relationships, as well as an existing reserve of relationships throughout the progressive community.
You have strong verbal and written communications skills.
You have an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously — and do so with a sense of humor.
You operate well under pressure.
You are extremely organized and pay close attention to detail.
You work well with others in a collegial environment.
