The Real Deal is looking for a Technical Delivery Lead to join our growing digital team. This is not a traditional developer role or a product manager role — it’s a hybrid execution-focused position for someone who knows how to work with code, organize work for others, and ensure that features, fixes, and platform updates go out smoothly.
You’ll act as the glue between product, dev, and business teams — owning tasks from spec to QA, and stepping into code when needed to unblock or ship. If you’re the kind of person who sees a half-written ticket and thinks “I’ll clean that up and get it done” — this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Coordinate and Organize Dev Work
Keep the backlog clean, scoped, and prioritized
Help define sprint goals and ensure tasks are realistically sized
Work with the senior developer to plan, assign, and track work
Translate stakeholder requests into clear action items
Own QA and Delivery Hygiene
QA features before launch and coordinate testing
Log bugs, verify fixes, and handle regressions quickly
Keep track of what’s released, what’s blocked, and what’s broken
Execute Lightweight Technical Work
Jump into frontend/backend/scripting to fix bugs or ship small features
Prototype internal tools or scrape/transform data for business use
Review and support pull requests as needed
Be the Connector Between Teams
Field incoming requests from sales, editorial, subscriptions, and marketing
Ensure everyone knows what’s being worked on and what’s next
Maintain documentation and sprint updates
You Might Be a Fit If You Have…
3–6 years of dev experience (React, Python, or similar stack)
A love for organization, clarity, and clean handoffs
Experience doing QA, ticket grooming, or sprint planning
Comfort wearing multiple hats and working with many departments
Strong communication and task management instincts
$120,000 - $160,000 a year
