In this role, you'll be the trusted advisor to our commercial clients, ensuring seamless operations and providing exceptional service. You’ll work closely with clients, carriers, and internal teams to foster long-term relationships and drive business growth.
What You Bring
The Account Manager works independently and collaboratively to manage overall client service and administration throughout the issuance and renewal cycle. This position is a client facing role utilizing professional skills in Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance to maintain and enhance client relationships while also ensuring client profitability.

Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact and trusted advisor for clients, responding to all client inquiries in a timely manner
- Foster productive and positive relationships with carrier partners through professional communication and open collaboration
- Qualify prospects utilizing department guidelines
- Process policy endorsements, first notice of claims & audits in a timely manner
- Coordinate policy renewals, including gathering necessary information, negotiating terms with insurers, and securing competitive rates
- Review existing policies to identify gaps in coverage and make recommendations as necessary
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional lines of business as well as the services of other divisions of The Richards Group
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in AMS not only to prevent E&O but also to ensure service can easily be provided in your absence
- Comply with all agency, carrier and state guidelines, processes and procedures, always conducting business with the highest degree of integrity
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks that may impact clients' insurance needs and engage in continuing education and carrier partner meetings
What You'll Need To Succeed - Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Active Property & Casualty License required
- Two years of insurance experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and colleagues
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective time management and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Technology skills sufficient to meet the demands of the role
$45,000 - $60,000 a year
Starting at $45k, depending on experience, plus a $1,000 signing bonus. The salary range reflected is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
