ROLE OVERVIEW:
The SpringHill Company is seeking an inspiring and dynamic Creative Director (Art) to join the team at our brand consultancy, Robot. Hardwired with the SpringHill mission of empowerment, Robot is programmed to extend it to our partners through advertising and marketing support that spans campaigns, content, social, PR and experiences, both physical and virtual.
The ideal candidate is a rising creative leader who is culturally involved, strategically minded and conceptually driven. They have a passion for sports and lifestyle culture, and a demonstrated ability to concept and execute on-brand and on-brief. They have a portfolio of work that demonstrates a diversity of project types including digital, TV, branded content, social, print/OOH and apparel. They will also be an experienced and engaged manager, capable of leading creative teams across multiple concurrent work streams.
This role collaborates closely with a team of Creative Directors, Strategists, Art Directors, Copywriters. They will lead brainstorming, concept development, and execution across both internal brand properties and partner brands. The ideal candidate can work independently and collaboratively, and has experience mentoring mid and junior level writers and art directors. Candidates must be highly motivated and flexible with the ability to take initiative and collaborate cross-functionally across the company.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development of insights-driven creative concepts, content, and storytelling for TSHC brands and partner campaigns
- Collaborate with other creatives to lead visual design and scalable creative concepting across a variety of projects including: brand logos, guidelines, and toolkits; advertising campaigns; branded content; digital and social media content; print and packaging; merchandise; and presentations
- Manage a team of Art Directors and Designers to ensure their projects are on-brand, and on-track
- Collaborate with Strategists, Art Directors and Copywriters to conceptualize design, copy and creative work at the highest level
- Lead development of presentation materials throughout the content development or campaign lifecycle
- Balance multiple in-house and external client projects, with tight deadlines and often a high volume of work
- Elevate overall work quality by setting increasingly high standards and articulating ambitious creative opportunities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with all clients, becoming an expert on our brands, and our brand partners’ culture, products, preferences, and expectations
- Provide recommendations on artists, directors, editors and other creative collaborators as needed for content and campaign projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally with TSHC internal teams (brand partnerships, marketing, social, production, etc) to develop strategies and ideas that support the execution of creative concepts within a campaign
- Promote a positive creative culture through teamwork and leading by example
- Collaborate with Project Managers to prioritize and staff projects (i.e. be able to delegate swiftly and play to the writing team’s respective strengths)
- Work closely with internal cross functional teams to create cohesive storytelling, and to ensure cross-functional integration and strategic implementation of TSHC and brand partner’s TOV.
- Mentor and guide your team toward the goal of accelerating skills progression through a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with Resourcing team to develop a best-in-class in-house and freelance team of copywriters and content contributors
- Collaborate with Director of Creative Operations, VP of Creative and Chief Creative Officer to define the vision for the writing team and support team in outreach to creative partners and Collaborators
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the advertising, marketing, or entertainment.
- 2+ years of experience directly managing individuals or teams.
- Must have an extensive portfolio of creative work that showcases exceptional visual design and graphic skill applied to address complex storytelling challenges across marketing/advertising and/or entertainment and content.
- Must have a deep understanding and pulse on culture, particularly sports and lifestyle culture.
- Ability to multitask and handle several creative projects simultaneously.
- Critical thinking, creative problem solving, and excellent communication skills are a must.
- Deep experience with and comfortable leading client presentations and meetings.
- Proactive, team player with the ability to work in a fast paced work environment.
- Can easily adapt to new challenges and think out of the box.
- Possess an openness to giving and receiving constructive criticism.
- Passion for sports and entertainment required.
- Fluent in Adobe creative tools, Google Slides, and Keynote.
$175,000 - $190,000 a year
