Introducing the Win International team at Trainline 👋
Win International are a cross-functional team with the mission of helping travelers across Europe get the best travel experience, from finding the best possible journey and fares to giving our customers the peace of mind of a reliable post-sales support. At Trainline we believe in sustainable travel, hence our effort to promote train travel as the greenest travel choice. For that purpose, the Win International team are focused on building industry-first features, relying heavily on our the Data Science team to help us offer functionality that no other company has done before.  We are constantly evolving our product to achieve the most friction-free experience for our users. We love data, so we continuously test our product changes and learn from our users. Trainline the main aggregation product within Europe, so the team work closely with the Train operating companies to keep integrating their innovations into our product.  

As an Engineering Team Lead at Trainline , you will...🚄
- You will be leading a team of cross functional engineers (Apps, Web & Back-End engineers), this will mainly be a people manager role but we would love to have someone who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty with code from time to time!
- Ensure yourself and others are continuously improving by proposing and implementing new processes, designs and engineering practices that make the team more effective 
- We're looking for someone that has experience within a Scrum environment, and is used to working in an agile way
- Experience with OKRs and rolling them out across the team will be beneficial
- Work with the Business Analyst and Product Owner within the team, to define ideas and requirements from multiple sources and ensure they get turned into well-defined tasks that are ready to be worked on by software developers 
- Balance competing priorities and maintain a prioritized backlog of work for the team 
- Act as a mentor/coach to more junior members of the team
- Ensure that everyone in the team has a reasonable workload

- You've worked in cross functional teams before
- Are a team leader with proven experience delivering complex projects successfully.
- Have a passion for people management combined with experience from either mentoring, technical leadership or from a previous people management role.
- A problem-solver who can apply their skills to technical issues.
- A strong grasp of agile and understanding of the Scrum framework.
- A pragmatic self-stater with a keen interest in technology

Your qualifications
- Thrive in a diverse, open and collaborative environment
- Minimum 1year of People management and team management experience
- Strong understanding of functional programming paradigms
