Reporting into the Global Head of Brand Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager - Brand will be responsible for leading Italy’s go-to-market (GTM) planning, execution, and brand channel activation. A first-class collaborator based in Milan, you will be working across multiple teams at Trainline to create campaigns that are in support of the business and commercial team’s initiatives and OKRs, and fully aligned to the brand proposition.

Responsibilities

    • Working closely with the head of brand marketing, you will be a key contributor to the marketing strategy, and you will own the marketing calendar for Italy
    • You will be responsible for creating campaigns that achieve business OKRs, working closely with commercial to identify marketing’s role in achieving them
    • You will manage the integrated GTM campaigns for Italy, working closely with the “Win International” growth theme lead and the wider marketing channel leads, to structure the campaign and drive execution that will deliver on key KPIs
    • You will lead the brand channels campaign planning and execution for Italy, working closely with the media agency, ensuring clear briefing process and strong response to briefs, with targets and plans that are delivered with the customer at heart. Backed by insight and data.
    • You will work closely with all GTM stakeholders including product, supply, UX, research, analytics, commercial, finance, legal, growth and brand
    • End to end campaign management, from insight through to execution, measurement, and reporting, ensuring the brand and customer is front of mind throughout the whole planning process
    • You will work closely with the analytics team to demonstrate the value of brand spend
    • Together with other Trainline staff based in Milan, feed back local market intelligence to Trainline headquarters in London and ensure the French market ‘comes to life’ for the rest of the organisation

Knowledge & Experience

    • Experience working in a tech related industry, comfortable with the fast-paced nature of the business
    • Confident managing multiple stakeholders, providing clear communication, direction, and support
    • Organisation comes naturally to you, and you will have experience managing marketing campaigns from start to finish
    • Strong analytical skills; able to develop hypotheses, insight briefs and interpret data to aid decision making
    • 3+ years’ experience in media planning, buying and measurement across a wide range of media channels
    • Experience managing external partners and agencies
    • Comfortable communicating to senior management
    • Experience juggling multiple campaigns and balancing priorities
    • Strong familiarity with both brand and performance KPIs
    • Experience working with other markets (DE, ES) a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian (native or equivalent) and English
