The Zebra is expanding our data organization and we’re seeking a Data Architect to help us build and grow a world-class data organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the way we understand, curate, model and use our data internally.

    • Help guide the design, implementation and maintenance of The Zebra’s data modeling to support key initiatives across the organization
    • Lead technical implementation of complex cross-team projects, ensuring high quality and reliable launches, appropriate testing efforts, and on-time delivery
    • Work closely with other engineers, analysts, and data leadership to identify data needs across the organization and maintain a high-quality robust data architecture
    • Identify high impact opportunities for improvement and scaling of existing products and tools to support our growth
    • Research and propose new tools and technologies
    • Provide input on how to integrate additional data sets from independent sources that we can use to leverage our existing data
    • Act as a technical leader across multiple teams and grow other engineers through coaching and mentorship


    • 10+ years of analyst, data engineer or data architect experience
    • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
    • Experience with Data Warehouses such as Snowflake
    • Experience with BI platforms such as Looker and Tableau
    • Technical expertise in designing and creating data models
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Experience leading large data architecture efforts while making a solid individual contribution, understanding where to draw the line between good and perfect
    • A desire to follow and advocate for exceptional software engineering processes
    • Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical audiences


    • Experience working in consumer-facing web products, growth-phase startups and/or using A/B testing and data to drive product decisions
    • Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
    • Experience with tools like Data Build Tool,, Monte Carlo, Airflow, or Prefect
    • Programming experience in Python
    • Advanced STEM degree
