The Warehouse Operations & Projects Leader is responsible for overseeing warehouse activities while driving key strategic initiatives and process improvements across operations. This role bridges day-to-day execution with project leadership, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills, capable of managing warehouse operations while also leading special projects that advance organizational goals.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and execute special projects related to warehouse optimization, process improvement, and capacity expansion.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring initiatives are completed on time and aligned with company objectives.
- Serve as the liaison between warehouse operations and leadership teams for project updates and progress tracking.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of high-level operational issues, including customer complaints, order discrepancies, and system errors.
- Own the escalation process from intake to resolution, ensuring timely responses and collaboration across affected teams.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address recurring issues, minimize future risk, and strengthen warehouse performance.
- Identify trends in escalations and complaints and work with leadership to implement systemic process improvements.
- Lead the implementation of new workflows and act as the subject matter expert and escalation point for process-related issues.
- Collaborate with Web Development and OT operations leadership to implement technology solutions that enhance visibility, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Develop project documentation, reports, and presentations for leadership updates and decision-making.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to improve end-to-end warehouse performance, including inbound logistics, production support, and outbound fulfillment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or distribution, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects or initiatives within an operations environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory systems, and safety practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and material handling processes.
- Basic understanding of OSHA standards and warehouse safety protocols.
- Clear and professional communication with team members, leadership, and cross-functional departments.
- Work well as part of a team and across departments to coordinate warehouse activities.
- Ability to support internal teams and ensure high-quality service delivery.
$70,000 - $75,000 a year

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
