The Opportunity
Thinkingbox is looking to add an eager, talented, and creative Design Intern to join our award-winning team in Los Angeles! We're looking for an individual who is passionate about creating game-changing, innovative work, comfortable with working on anything from high profile multimedia experiential activations, to microsites and larger platform websites. As a Design Intern, you will work closely with our talented team of Designers and Creative Directors to create visually stunning campaigns for our clients. You will be responsible for supporting the design team in various tasks including ideation, conceptualization, and execution of design concepts. At Thinkingbox, we value creativity, innovation, and a passion for pushing boundaries. What You’ll Be Doing

    • Work with the team to define the look and feel for digital campaigns and projects 
    • Collaborate with our team to transform wireframes and/or loose visual concepts into high fidelity designs
    • Contribute ideas and on-trend, design pixel perfect artwork, design systems, assets from mood boards through to final delivery
    • Develop solutions that respond to client parameters and project briefs
    • Creating design documentation (such as style guides)
    • Collaborate and brainstorm with producers, and creative and development team
    • Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to supervisors and producers
    • Assist with ideation and creation of design concepts for campaigns
    • Create and edit design assets for various projects
    • Collaborate with the design team to execute high-quality designs
    • Help with preparing files for production and assisting in the production process
    • Support the design team with research and inspiration gathering
    • Participate in brainstorms and help develop creative solutions for client challenges
    • Contribute to a positive team environment and culture

What You’ll Bring

    • Recently completed (or in progress towards) a degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
    • Experience with Figma 
    • Knowledge of digital + web design (websites, digital interfaces, etc)
    • Knowledge of UI/UX and UX processes (intaking product requirements, creating wireframes, building prototypes, etc)
    • Ability to take art direction and critique
    • Must have a keen eye for detail
    • Strong conceptual thinking
    • Understanding of typography, layout, and contemporary digital design
    • Interest in emerging technologies and design trends
    • Ability to collaborate with a team and also work autonomously
    • Strong design skills and a passion for creative problem-solving
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • A portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity
$20 - $20 an hour
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as as internal equity, candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role. Currency is in USD for this position.
