As a Senior Program Manager for the Public Sector portfolio, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex projects and other initiatives within our organization. Your role will involve coordinating multiple interdependent projects, aligning them with strategic objectives, and ensuring successful delivery while adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will also be engaged in and responsible for key stakeholder communications and meetings. You will be hands on in both management of projects and deliverables.   

Please note that only candidates residing in either North Bay or Ottawa, and that are bilingual (English/French) will be considered for this position.

You Will:

    • Program Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the successful execution of programs and projects under the Public Sector (Gov Pod). Align all existing and future work with organizational goals and ensure they contribute to the overall objectives.  
    • Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive program and project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting. Update tool used to assign tasks to resources and provide reports/status on programs and projects. Monitor and manage program execution, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.  
    • Stakeholder Management: Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and effectively communicating program progress, risks, and outcomes. Manage expectations and address concerns proactively.  
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on program deliverables. Implement risk management practices to ensure successful program outcomes.  
    • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources across multiple projects within the program, optimizing resource utilization and ensuring the right skill sets are available to meet program objectives.  
    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure high performance and collaboration. Foster a positive team environment conducive to success. Work collaboratively with teams to build and foster an effective and easy rapport.  
    • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular progress reports, documentation, and presentations for senior management, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and challenges within the program. 

You Have:

    • Candidate must be bilingual (English/French)
    • Resides in either North Bay or Ottawa, Ontario
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Program/Project Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.  
    • Proven experience (10+ years) in program and project management, overseeing complex projects or programs from initiation to completion. 
    • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a matrixed organization.  
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.  
    • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMP).  
    • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. 
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.  
    • Experience in industries relevant to the organization's focus areas, Public Sector.  
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
