The Role
Thrasio, a next-generation consumer goods company, is seeking a CyberSecurity Systems Admin II to lead and manage our security operations function as well as support our IT compliance efforts. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding Thrasio's critical infrastructure, data, and applications from ever-evolving cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage Thrasio's overall cyber security program, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
- Oversee and manage Security Operations Center (SOC) operations, including security incident and event management (SIEM), threat detection, investigation, and response.
- Lead a team of security analysts in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats and incidents.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to mitigate cyber risks.
- Work collaboratively with IT and other departments to integrate security best practices into business processes.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, implementing appropriate security controls to mitigate risks.
- Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Manage and maintain security tools and technologies.
- Provide security awareness training to employees.
- Incident reporting and escalation procedures.
- Support the implementation and maturity of IT General Computing Controls (ITGCs)
What You Bring to the Party:
- 5+ years of experience in cyber security operations, focusing on security operations center (SOC) management.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive cybersecurity program.
- In-depth knowledge of security best practices, frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST CSF), and compliance regulations.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Experience with threat detection, investigation, and incident response methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of network security concepts and technologies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CCSP.
Nice to Have But Not Required:
- Experience in a consumer goods or e-commerce environment.
- Experience with cloud security.
- Experience with security automation tools.
- Experience with global privacy regulations.
