Studio Photographer

Thrive Market is a fast-growing and young brand. The Studio Photographer will be an integral member of the Marketing Creative team, helping to build and evolve our visual identity. You'll have a diverse portfolio that includes food/product styling and photography that spans a range of campaign mediums (digital, print, social, etc.). The right photographer for the job is creative, excited about a full-time in-house role, knows the industry, and enjoys working with a variety of teams and people.  


    • Support the visual direction of the in-house Photo department, reporting into the Creative Director
    • Suggest, direct, and execute on innovative photography concepts for Marketing photo collateral
    • Present products in beautiful and aspirational photos
    • Facilitate styling and prep for all shoots 
    • Photograph assets to support a wide-variety of initiatives such as: emails, online ads, print ads, landing pages, infographics, e-books, presentations, and social posts
    • Incorporate creative direction and feedback from multiple departments and stakeholders
    • Lead by example, contributing to projects and delivering impactful photos
    • Actively participate in brainstorming and helping us create the best design team culture, ever
    • Provide ongoing photo support to the marketing team for A/B testing that includes multiple alts, unique concepts, and product/brand first concepts 
    • Help maintain our extensive photo asset library 


    • 5+ years studio photography experience, preferably some within a startup environment
    • Knowledge of best practices in marketing photography 
    • Mastery of Adobe Photoshop
    • Strong capability to extend photographic assets across various platforms and devices
    • Knowledgeable of other creative mediums and an understanding of how design utilizes photography
    • Experience working with other photographers and comfortable giving direction on photoshoots to support creative campaigns and marketing assets
    • Highly functioning within a fast-paced, collaborative environment
    • Ability to tackle multiple projects, while staying organized and keeping a cool, positive upbeat personality
    • Thorough experience in both product and lifestyle photography
