THE ROLE

As the EHS Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining safety policies and procedures tailored to the unique demands of our fulfillment operations. Your responsibilities encompass various tasks, from conducting regular safety inspections to participating in safety committee meetings and investigating incidents. You will collaborate closely with management and safety supervisors from additional Thrive Market fulfillment sites to deliver comprehensive safety training programs, monitor compliance with regulations, and recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety practices and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures for Thrive Market’s fulfillment operations.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Collaborate with management to deliver safety training programs for employees.
    • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
    • Monitor and enforce safety regulations, including OSHA standards and company policies.
    • Participate in safety committee meetings and participate in cross-functional safety initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including training, inspections, and incidents.
    • Recommend and implement improvements to workplace safety practices and equipment.
    • Serve as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns and best practices.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to fulfillment safety.
    • Report on KPIs to the leadership teamParticipate in new hire orientation outlining the company’s high expectations regarding safety rules and regulationsTrack and maintain all training records.
    • Assist with implementing action plans and corrective actions

QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 6 - 12 months of experience in safety, environmental, or health Ability to work flexible hours supporting the safety needs of Thrive Market across various shiftsAbility to assess risks and develop effective solutions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
    • [Preferred] Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., BLS, OSHA30, CSP, ASP, OHST)
    • [Preferred] In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
    • [Preferred] Proven track record of developing and implementing safety programs.
    • [Preferred] Experience conducting safety training and managing safety committees.
    • [Preferred] Proficiency in relevant software applications.

    • Compensation Description - The salary for this position is up to $58,000.
    • Rate of pay may increase over time based upon: skill, level of responsibility, additional duties, seniority, quantity or quality of production or other legitimate, business-related factors.
