THE ROLE

Thrive Market is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead the strategic vision and execution for our Member Growth & Retention initiatives. As a key leader within our Product Management team, you will oversee a portfolio of high-impact product initiatives aimed at improving acquisition, driving onboarding and engagement, and increasing long-term member retention across our e-commerce and membership experience.

This role will be central to navigating a critical chapter in our growth journey, as we address opportunities in our paid social performance and chart a path forward through innovation, experimentation, and member-first thinking. You’ll work closely with our executive team, cross-functional stakeholders, and a talented group of PMs, engineers, designers, data scientists, and lifecycle marketers to deliver measurable business outcomes and world-class user experiences.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker, customer advocate, and product leader with a strong bias for action, deep experience in growth or retention-focused consumer products, and a passion for mission-driven work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the product strategy and execution for Thrive Market’s Member Growth & Retention product portfolio, aligning closely with key business KPIs (LTV, CAC, retention rate, etc.)
    • Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers, supporting their development and ensuring high-quality execution across multiple tracks of work
    • Partner with Growth Marketing, Member Services, Engineering, and Data Science to identify and prioritize opportunities across converting leads to paying members, onboarding, reactivation flows, referral programs, and more
    • Own and evolve our experimentation roadmap — from rapid A/B testing to longitudinal LTV experiments — to drive insights that improve funnel conversion, engagement, and retention
    • Develop and refine our subscription offering, including pricing, value propositions, renewal journeys, and cancel flows, with a focus on customer value and sustainable business outcomes
    • Translate user insights, data analysis, and business needs into clear product requirements, roadmaps, and compelling stakeholder narratives
    • Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders on how to evolve our digital experience to support our mission of making healthy and sustainable living easy and affordable
    • Establish product development rituals that ensure focus, alignment, and velocity across cross-functional partners
    • Ensure continuity and forward momentum in product development during VP-level absences or transitions

QUALIFICATIONS

    • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years managing or mentoring other PMs
    • Deep experience with freemium, subscription, or membership-based models, alongside e-commerce
    • Track record of optimizing top-of-funnel acquisition, activation/onboarding, and retention/engagement
    • Strong fluency in data — comfortable pulling your own queries, synthesizing analytics, and using both qualitative and quantitative inputs to generate insights on pain points and solutioning as part of a comprehensive product strategy
    • Demonstrated success in scaling growth and retention programs across web and mobile platforms
    • Track record of delivering measurable business impact through successfully managing full product lifecycle — from ideation through launch, learning and iteration
    • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence up, down, and across the organization
    • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Member Services, and Marketing
    • Able to influence without authority, especially across marketing, lifecycle, and performance/growth teams
    • Passion for Thrive Market’s mission and a deep empathy for our members

BELONG TO A BETTER COMPANY

    • Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life and disability)
    • Competitive salary (DOE) + equity
    • 401k Employer Match
    • 9 Days of Observed Holidays
    • Flexible Paid Time Off
    • Subsidized ClassPass Membership with access to fitness classes and wellness and beauty experiences
    • Ability to work in our beautiful co-working space at WeWork in Playa Vista and other locations
    • Free Thrive Market membership with exclusive employee discount
    • Coverage for Life Coaching & Therapy Sessions on our holistic mental health and well-being platform
