Thrive Market is looking for a Director of Fulfillment to be site leader in our Batesville, IN fulfillment center (FC). Our company's mission is to make healthy, affordable food available to every American through an e-commerce platform.  The role of Director plays a crucial part in that mission as the primary leader at each facility with full P&L as well as team culture ownership.

The Director of Fulfillment will be responsible for all day to day operations and management of the FC as an inspiring and engaging leader with KPIs to achieve in Safety, Team, Quality and Production results of the business. The position's direct reports are at the Senior Operations Manager level each responsible for a functional area within the operation. (Inbound/Inventory, Outbound and Facility)

The Director of Fulfillment reports to the VP of Fulfillment. Some travel (~10%) to our headquarters in Los Angeles, our other FC currently in Nevada, and possible future FC opening locations will be required.

Responsibilities

    • Build functionality, culture and capabilities for distribution at the facility and network level
    • Partner with Managers at the FCs to ensure operational excellence
    • Teach, Coach and Develop leaders
    • Engage the leadership teams outside of the FCs (Marketing, Tech, Procurement, Finance, Human Resources, etc)
    • Identify and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), suggest and implement operational and strategy changes to help meet KPIs
    • Meet financial goals and manage the site budget. Weigh trade-offs and be the decision maker
    • Ensure workplace safety and compliance adherence
    • Develop and drive continual performance improvement across the facility team
    • Identify proper staffing levels to meet service level needs of our customers in a growth environment
    • Partner with our Talent and HR team to ensure proper teamwork, recognition and accountability across our organization
    • Provide strategic vision for the facility team
    • Align with Director level leader across other Thrive Facilities to create a consistent environment and foster collaborative improvement

Qualifications

    • 10+ years experience in a fulfillment environment, with at least 5 years experience managing a facility with P&L responsibility
    • Exemplary relationship-building skills; Ability to be a cross-functional leader who can motivate Thrivers on the floor and engage in executive-level discussions with ease
    • Deep belief in Thrive Market's Mission and Values
    • Strong operational acumen, ability to think strategically and spear-head new initiatives
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher
