The Thuma team is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst or a Finance Manager. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role will be responsible for developing and managing company forecasts and driving financial analytics to help achieve overall strategy and goals.

Thuma’s Headquarters is based in the historic Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco. This is a hybrid role, and while we don’t mandate any in-office time, candidates should be available to come into our SF office. This role requires the ability to work pacific standard time.

Key Responsibilities:

    • High impact member of the finance team, with oversight and strong working relationships across the full organization (including Accounting, Supply Chain & Operations, Product, People, Marketing, among others)
    • Work directly with the Director of Finance and SVP of Finance & Bus Ops to update monthly company forecast, set annual budgets and assist in company’s long range planning 1x per year
    • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet, and track company KPIs
    • Identify opportunities to streamline Corporate Finance operations and processes
    • Bring clear analysis to Senior Management and translate those findings into strategic recommendations that allow the company to meet its targets
    • Perform competitive pricing analysis and make recommendations on pricing for new or existing products
    • Assist in new product launches, understand changes to existing sales trends; develop and report on product launch metrics
    • Prepare sku level product profitability analysis
    • Be the financial point-of-contact in analyzing projects and business cases across various departments
    • Prepare Board of Directors presentations
    • Conduct ad hoc financial modeling and analysis

    • Ability to disseminate relevant data and challenge assumptions made by personnel
    • Comfortable working with minimal amounts of structure.  Ability to take a broad problem and figure out the steps to solve it
    • Organized, and able to multi-task and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • A desire to support a rapidly growing company scale into its next chapter
    • Not afraid to speak up or challenge the status quo if a better perspective is available
    • Comfortable presenting with all levels of internal employees and executives

What You’ll Need:

    • Experience in forecast, financial and business analysis (FP&A) and a strong understanding of accounting/financial reporting. 3-5 years for Senior Financial Analyst and 5-8 experience for Finance Manager
    • A undergraduate degree in business, finance or similar field
    • Prior work history with a fast-growing company, preferably in a DTC/brand-oriented environment preferred
    • Advanced Excel skills, including modeling and data analysis capabilities; proven success in building financial/forecasting models.
$90,000 - $160,000 a year
Senior Financial Analyst: $90,000-$120,00 a year
Finance Manager: $130,000-$160,000 a year
