Thuma is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Performance Marketing Manager/Specialist (Paid Social) to join our Performance Marketing team. This individual will lead strategy, execution, optimization, and analysis of key paid social channels, with a strong focus on driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth within efficiency guardrails. Reporting into the Associate Director of Performance Marketing, you will own both long-term strategy and day-to-day execution across platforms like Facebook/Instagram, Reddit, etc. while supporting emerging social channels like Pinterest and TikTok.

This role requires deep channel expertise, a strong testing mindset, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with brand, creative, analytics, and e-commerce teams to uncover new growth opportunities. As part of the Performance Marketing team, you’ll also help integrate learnings across channels (search, offline) to maximize impact, while building strong relationships with vendors and channel partners.

Thuma’s Headquarters is based in the historic Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco. The role involves three days in the office each week and occasional additional days as needed.

In recognition of the personal and professional benefits that team members gain from time spent together in person, we organize a range of events throughout each year designed to bring our entire team together!

Key Responsibilities

    • Own both strategy and day-to-day execution, optimization, and analysis of paid social channels like Facebook/Instagram and Reddit, while supporting emerging social channels like Pinterest and TikTok.
    • Develop and manage campaigns across audience, ad set, and creative levels, ensuring delivery against growth and efficiency targets.
    • Build innovative audience and creative strategies capable of unlocking new scale in customer acquisition.
    • Partner with analytics to develop dashboards and reporting that clearly connect performance to business outcomes (CAC, ROAS, CTR, etc.).
    • Lead a robust testing roadmap, including testing of ad copy, creative, bidding strategies, targeting, landing pages, etc.
    • Collaborate with brand and creative partners to shape assets that reflect Thuma’s aesthetic and voice, while driving measurable impact.
    • Provide strategic insight on emerging social trends, formats, and platform innovations; evaluate and test new ad products and channels.
    • Clearly communicate channel insights and learnings to internal stakeholders, influencing broader marketing and brand strategies.
    • Work cross-functionally with brand, creative, analytics, and ecommerce teams to identify and unlock new growth opportunities.

This Might Describe You

    • 4+ years of experience managing paid social campaigns at scale, ideally in e-commerce or DTC environments.
    • Proven track record of managing significant budgets and driving growth while staying within efficiency thresholds.
    • Hands-on experience across Ads Manager platforms (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.).
    • Data-driven marketer with a strong understanding of marketing attribution and the role of paid social in the broader customer journey.
    • Strong collaborator who thrives on working across teams while also being able to execute independently.
    • Analytical and detail-oriented with advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable synthesizing data into actionable insights.
    • Clear communicator who can translate performance data into compelling stories for executives and cross-functional partners.
    • A builder and optimizer with a strong testing mindset; curious and proactive in uncovering new ways to grow the business.
