Performance Marketing Specialist (Remote)

The Thuma team is looking for a Performance Marketing Specialist to join our lean, fast-growing, remote team. We hire for integrity, initiative, collaborative spirit, open mindedness, and willingness to learn. 

As a Performance Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing campaigns across multiple Paid Social channels (e.g. Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, etc.). You will own the execution of evergreen and seasonal campaigns, the launch of new products, as well as play a key role in the strategy and execution of ongoing testing. This role will partner closely with the Brand and Analytics teams, and is expected to be in close touch with learnings from all other marketing channels.

While Thuma is based in San Francisco, our team is spread across the country. This role is flexible and can be San Francisco-based or fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute paid social campaigns (Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.) and other channel marketing plans to meet and exceed revenue and new customer acquisition goals. 
    • Manage campaign, ad set, audience, and ad implementation. Monitor and analyze performance, and develop and drive appropriate action plans based on conclusions. 
    • Drive A/B and multivariate testing programs to continually improve ad copy and creative, bidding strategies, landing pages, targeting, etc.
    • Develop a deep understanding of the Thuma brand voice and aesthetic in order to work with the brand team and develop marketing copy and other creative needed to support campaigns. 
    • Gather insights on creative performance and create a feedback loop with brand  partners to improve future iterations and net-new content.
    • Test new marketing channels and ad products, including owning the process from tracking and technical integration, to trafficking campaigns, optimizing, and measuring success. 
    • Partner with the analytics team to improve reporting capabilities/marketing dashboards and develop understanding of related metrics (e.g. LTV, new/repeat mix, etc.). 
    • Build effective working relationships with agencies and vendors and provide direction in executing campaigns. Drive ad operations in partnership with agencies; hold agencies accountable. 
    • Stay on top of industry trends and regulations in the social media space and ensure Thuma adapts to trends proactively. 
    • Keep a detailed record of campaigns and how they're influencing our key business metrics such as CAC, ROAS, LTV, CTR, etc. Compile results and recommendations into organized, concise reports that can be clearly communicated to other marketing team members and executives.
    • Work cross-functionally with category general managers, analytics, brand and eCommerce teams to unlock new growth opportunities.

This Might Describe You:

    • Experienced, with 2-5 years experience at a DTC brand or marketing agency; experienced with Ads Manager platforms across social channels. 
    • Highly analytical and skilled at data analysis; you enjoy digging deeply into data and building models in excel/google sheets. 
    • You’re a builder, optimizer, and an executor, demonstrating the ability to manage campaigns at scale efficiently, while always seeking to optimize bidding/targeting/audience/creative strategies. 
    • Extremely detail-oriented and has a passion for being well-organized; has great time management skills.  
    • An excellent communicator - you can pull out data points to tell a compelling story.
    • Fast learner and natural collaborator with excellent listening skills; you enjoy working cross-functionally but also can execute independently.
    • At the forefront of marketing trends and emerging media opportunities. You are eager to find new ways to grow the business, and have your finger on the pulse of the marketing and e-commerce industry. 
    • Graphic design and video editing is a plus, but not required.
