The Role
TalkNow is a 24/7, 365, on-demand telehealth service that exclusively serves the higher education student population. As a full-time TalkNow Provider with TimelyCare, you will act as a primary form of emotional support for the students and members (i.e. faculty & staff) we serve. We are looking for providers who have successfully completed a masters degree in professional counseling, social work, and/or marriage and family therapist who have worked with populations in need of crisis intervention, de-escalation, risk assessment, and safety
Location
We offer a remote work environment. Work from home criteria includes but is not limited to maintaining your own internet with approved speed requirements, HIPAA compliant workspace free from distractions, and successful completion of the credentialing, onboarding, and training programs. Adherence to HIPAA and compliance standards, and all policies / procedures required for this role.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a primary support & triage for incoming TalkNow sessions (via phone, video or chat) to support members (i.e. students, faculty, or staff) with a person-centered, strengths-based approach
- Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and triage support as needed for students using TalkNow services, providing full availability during the hours of your shift
- Collaborate with students to develop care plans, progress care, and conduct risk assessments as needed
- Appropriately document sessions, assessments, and care plans in our electronic health record (EHR)
- Adhere to established standards for AIDET communication (acknowledge, introduce, duration, explanation, and thank), clinical documentation quality, HIPAA/PHI and telehealth regulation
- Consistently meet the required performance metrics for number of required encounters per week and shift
- Participate in the quality assurance investigations to gather all applicable facts
- Support the Director of Mental Health with client-facing related activities
What You Bring
- Minimum of provisional/associate licensure in the state of North Carolina (LCSW-A, LCMHC-A, LMFT-A)
- Strong clinical writing, assessment, and active listening skills
- Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation

- Able to establish rapport, trust and professional boundaries with students
- Able to assess, triage, and document sessions with students potentially in crisis and/or are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicidal ideation, etc,
- Able to respond to students who are potentially in crisis with professionalism, support, empathy, and an awareness of cultural humility

$55,000 - $65,000 a year
The salary range for this opportunity is $55,000 (Associate/Provisionally Licensed in NC) or $65,000 (if fully licensed in NC) per year.
This is the base pay, and you will be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to the base pay.
Stated salary and shifts are non-negotiable at this time
