The Role
Under the general supervision of the Director of Psychiatry, we are currently looking for a Psychiatry Advanced Practice Provider who will provide clinical evaluation and medication assessment (non-controlled only) to students who use the TimelyMD platform.

Candidates licensed in TEXAS.

What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in nursing and an advanced degree from an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing (APPN) graduate nursing program required. APPN graduate education must include the study of basic science, (i.e., pathophysiology, advanced health assessment, brain and behavioral correlates), advanced psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic techniques; followed by clinical rotations in outpatient mental health settings, hospitals, or residential care settings.
    • Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and/or American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) in psychiatric mental health advanced practice nursing as the area of specialization required
    • Documented compliance with any state statutes and regulations governing advanced practice psychiatric mental health nursing required.
    • Doctorate Degree preferred but not required
    • 2+ years experience working with persons who have various behavioral substance misuse, or other psychiatric impairments
    • Demonstrated experience in clinical practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse
    • Strong and effective clinical writing, assessment, and active listening skills

    • Ability to respond to students who are potentially in crisis with professionalism, support, and an awareness of cultural humility.

What You'll Do

    • Conduct remote Tele-psychiatry outpatient visits (initial evaluation and follow ups)
    • Conduct therapy, medication assessments, and intake evaluations for new and existing students
    • Develop individual care plans and provide therapeutic interventions as necessary including the provision of ongoing medication management services
    • Provide consultation and health education support to patients and families, as well as other clinical care team members, as required
    • Collaborate with students to develop care plans and safety planning if needed
    • Appropriately document sessions, assessments, and care plans in our EHR
    • Adhere to established standards for AIDET, clinical documentation quality, HIPAA/PHI and telehealth regulations

The salary range for this opportunity is $125,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on education, experience, and licensing. This is the base pay, and you will be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to the base pay.
