Location: Site-based role on large-scale construction projects throughout Metro Atlanta within the state of Georgia

As an Electrical QAQC Project Manager, you’ll be the person ensuring that complex electrical systems work exactly as they should. From the moment materials arrive on site to the point where systems power on, you’ll be in the field making sure everything meets design standards, safety codes, and owner expectations.

You'll Spend Your Time

    • Level 1 – Materials: Inspecting and verifying major electrical equipment (switchgear, generators, transformers, UPS, cabling) as it’s delivered. Making sure it’s correct, undamaged, and stored properly.
    • Level 2 – Installation: Walking the job site to confirm installations match plans, NEC, and project specifications. Checking conduit runs, grounding, labeling, penetrations, and quality of work before anything gets covered up or energized.
    • Level 3 – Pre-Functional Testing: Leading readiness checks before systems power up. Coordinating with commissioning agents to verify safety, signage, controls, lockout/tagout, and startup testing.
    • Along the way, you’ll document issues, track resolutions, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks. You’ll also lead QAQC planning, manage reporting tools like Procore/BIM 360, and mentor junior team members on what “good electrical work” looks like.

    • Why It Matters
    • Your work directly impacts whether facilities like data centers run reliably and safely. By catching issues early and ensuring readiness at each stage, you’ll help avoid costly delays, ensure compliance, and support high-performance operations from day one.

What You'll Need

    • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
    • 7–10 years working with electrical systems in commercial or mission-critical construction.
    • Deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, and NETA standards.
    • Experience managing QAQC across Levels 1–3 on electrical projects.
    • Ability to interpret one-lines, riser diagrams, panel schedules, and coordination studies.
    • Proficiency with QA tools (Procore, BIM 360, Smartsheet, CMMS).
    • Strong communication skills to lead issue resolution with contractors, engineers, commissioning agents, and clients.

    • Bonus Points For
    • Certifications: NETA, CxA, PE (Electrical), OSHA 30, ASQ CQA.
    • Experience in data centers, healthcare, or industrial manufacturing.
    • Background in energization, pre-functional readiness, and turnover documentation.

    • What Success Looks Like
    • Materials inspected, logged, and cleared with no surprises at installation.
    • Installations verified and documented with issues resolved before concealment or energization.
    • Systems handed over safe, complete, and fully tested—ready for owners to operate.
    • Junior team members are growing under your mentorship.
    • Smooth collaboration with field teams, engineers, and commissioning partners.

    • The Environment
    • This is a site-based role. You’ll be on active construction projects, walking the field, coordinating in meetings, and leading during high-pressure moments like commissioning and energization. Travel is part of the job, and long hours can be expected at key milestones.
