We’re looking for a Senior Estimator who thrives on precision, collaboration, and problem-solving. In this role, you’ll analyze project requirements, gather critical data, and prepare accurate cost estimates that guide profitable, strategic decisions.
What you'll do:
- Develop preliminary budgets and labor estimates for project kickoff.
- Create project-specific specification checklists and basic submittals to support smooth handoffs.
- Build preliminary billing plans based on budgets and estimates.
- Understand project scope and requirements to identify key cost variables.
- Gather information from project sites, warehouses, and vendors.
- Research labor, material, and other costs to ensure accurate projections.
- Use estimation software to analyze data, forecast costs, and manage budgets.
- Request and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Perform risk assessments for project cost and timeline impacts.
- Prepare and present estimate reports or bids to internal teams and clients.
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.
- Provide consultative support on schedules, manpower needs, and project plans.
What makes you a great fit:
- 5–10 years of experience in estimating or a related role.
- Solid understanding of financial and project management principles.
- Strong analytical skills with a deep knowledge of estimation formulas, research methods, and data analysis.
- Proficiency with math, data analysis tools, and estimation software.
- A BA/BS in Engineering, Construction Science, or equivalent experience.
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is a plus, but not required.
