Our employee-owned and multi-disciplined team, has an opportunity available for a recent graduate or experienced professional who is looking to jump start their career as a Graduate Electrical Engineer!
 
As a member of our Rail - Electrical team, you will work alongside Electrical Engineers, Designers and Technicians to develop plans and prepare studies, design specifications, and detailed drawings for building electrical systems.  You will also assist with construction administration responsibilities including interpreting plans, observing construction operations, and maintaining reports to ensure construction conforms to plans and specifications. 
 
In addition to working alongside Electrical Engineering professionals, you will work within a multi-disciplined environment and collaborate with Mechanical, Civil, and Structural Engineering professionals to provide an array of services for a number of unique projects located across the country, including fueling facilities, loading and unloading facilities, maintenance facilities, tank farms, pump houses, and more. 
 
Note: Flexible / hybrid work arrangements (3 days in office / 2 days remote per week) will be considered for self-starter and self-sufficient professionals who have demonstrated an ability to work and/or learn successfully in a remote work environment.

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
    • Recent graduate or experienced professional with 0-4 years of experience designing building electrical systems – power, lighting, and signal (phone, fire alarm, and security).  
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). 
    • Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to write specifications and reports and participate in project team meeting discussions.
    • Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%) for team meetings, client consultations, site inspections/visits, etc.; Occasional overnight travel may be required. 

Advantageous Qualifications

    • Successful completion of the EIT / FE Exam.
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or 3D printing.
    • Previous experience or coursework related to designing electrical control systems.
    • Previous experience or training with Visual, AGI, or similar lighting software.
