Join a trusted law firm dedicated to assisting clients through the bankruptcy process with compassion and expertise. We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney to play a key role in supporting the legal team.
This role requires excellent analytical skills, legal drafting skills, proficiency in legal research, the ability to manage legal administrative tasks effectively, and a passion for helping clients navigate financial challenges. The Attorney will represent clients in legal proceedings, provide expert advice, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bankruptcy law and, in particular, consumer bankruptcy law.
What You'll Do
- Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.
- Conduct client consultations and provide legal advice on bankruptcy matters.
- Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other related documents.
- Attend court hearings and creditor meetings.
- Negotiate with creditors and trustees on behalf of clients.
- Stay current with bankruptcy laws and regulations.
What You Need
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in California.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in consumer bankruptcy law.
- Strong understanding of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Compassionate and client-focused approach.
- Experience in other areas of law is not essential but a plus.
Salary & Benefits
- Location: Los Angeles, CA.
- Hybrid schedule (3 days in the office)
- Salary: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year + Bonuses are available when the candidate successfully brings business to the company.
- This is a full-time, long-term position.
- Monday through Friday - Weekends as needed
