Tombras, a 475+ person, full-service, national advertising agency with a digital mindset, is seeking a Business Affairs Talent Manager.

Where you'll be working: Knoxville is preferred, open to remote with travel

The Business Affairs Talent Manager will manage talent payments and negotiations, and work with union and non-union production studios, legal teams and music vendors. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative and keep communication flowing efficiently.  You have strong communication skills and you’re a team player willing to work with staff at all levels.


What you'll be doing:

    • Determine best approach for talent for productions. Provide all production facing documents to the Producer upon request including but not limited to (Casting memos, various Non-Union talent releases for shoots/recording sessions and SAG documents for Union shoots.
    • Prepare Union and Non-Union talent Session & Reuse estimates for clients,  track all talent related usage/expirations and pay residuals as needed.
    • Process, approve, and track vendor invoices working with finance to facilitate vendor payment.
    • Partner with the Finance and Account team leads to track job billings, revise/actualize and close production jobs as needed.
    • Research talent costs and negotiate for Celebrity talent as needed.
    • Partner with Production managers from CMC (third party Sig) on all Union Productions
    • Provide topline legal assessment on creative. Coordinate with outside legal counsel to assess and manage legal risk. Initiate desktop  trademark searches.
    • Work with producers and account teams on all legal, licensing and contractual matters. 
    • Work with Project Managers to track and manage Isci codes, Purchase Orders and all production related documents into the BA Shared drive
    • Negotiate for all 3rd party content, name and brand clearances. Provide legal releases and contracts as needed
    • Work alongside Project Managers to research and license Stock footage with preferred vendors as needed.  
    • Research and provide costs to Account leads for Original music compositions and copyrighted music as needed.  Draft music agreements as necessary and obtain musicologist reports if requested.
    • Work alongside internal Traffic Manager to manage network clearance at all stages (preliminary, rough-cut and final) for select accounts.
    • Assist SVP of Business Affairs to manage needed Talent resources 
    • Traveling overnight as required.
    • Driving long distances as required.

What you bring:
