We're Topaz Labs, an AI tech company building the future of photo & video editing. We are looking for an experienced iOS developer to help us bring AI superresolution upscaling technology to iPhone and iPad.
Millions of photographers and designers trust us with their work, including teams at Apple, Netflix and NASA. The Role: Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS)
This is a unique role for someone interested in making a deep impact at a high-growth tech company. You will be spearheading development on an iOS app bringing the power of Topaz AI to mobile devices for the first time. You will pair with engineers on our AI Engine and Research teams to bring our CoreML enhancement & upscaling models from macOS to iOS. “Gigapixel Touch” will be our first mobile app, and a foray into making Topaz AI models accessible anywhere by anyone.
This role requires a strong understanding of product and user experience, paired with strong general technical capability. You will be responsible for building an iOS MVP from the ground up and releasing a successful MVP product that will be used by millions of people. Photo processing experience is not required, but you must be up to the challenge of diving deep into the technology and user experience.
About you
- 3+ years professional software development experience
- 2+ years developing iOS applications
- High aptitude for computer programming, with a proven track record of effectiveness
- Knowledgeable of application and system architecture, UI, networking and performance optimization
- Eye for design, a strong sense of user experience and a high level of craftsmanship
- High level of experience working on consumer-facing products, writing both UI & business/backend logic
- Experience maintaining and iterating on iOS applications in production
- Knowledge of distribution on iOS including app building & signing and distribution on the App Store
Love
- Experience developing iOS apps from beginning to end with initial deployment to App Store
- Knowledge of image encoding/decoding and file formats
- History working with applications involving images or photo editing
- Experience deploying ML models in production environments, especially CoreML
- Any photo editing experience with tools like Photoshop, Lightroom and Apple Photos, or experience as a photographer
$120,000 - $180,000 a year

This is a unique role for someone interested in making a deep impact at a high-growth tech software company. We offer strong base salary, plus significant ownership that scales with the company's growth. This is a full-time onsite role in Dallas, TX, and we will ask you to relocate if you're not in the area
